Twin Falls County Museum
Inside
YES! This still works! We heard it play! ...kids for those of you who don't know, this is NOT a big, black CD, but a RECORD. You put the needle on the record and it reads the music! This Edison Record Player has to be hand cranked and still sounds great!
Thomas Edison and I.B. Perrine were friends! Come to the museum to see all the cool stuff that Edison gave him!
The Clicky Chicks were especially interested in this display. Clarence E. Bisbee documented and photographed Twin Falls at the turn of the century. Several of his cameras are on display at the museum. We are amazed and awed that he captured the images with the equipment of that time. The cameras, gear and FILM were heavy and cumbersome but he prevailed and took some of the most fabulous pictures of Twin Falls during that time period.
This is how ladies curled their hair. Uh, we'll have straight hair thank you.
Along with the below picture, the papers in the frames are Civil War documents.
The delight of our day, was Duffy, the Museum Dog. He was content to be held and loved on and graciously waited his turn for his picture to be taken. Shhhh...he is one of our favorite parts of the museum and he's only 2!
Museum Administrator Mychel Matthews and Duffy.
The Clicky Chicks would like to extend a sincere thank you to Mychel for the private tour and wonderful conversation. The museum is fascinating and Mychel makes it even more so. Please visit and ask questions. You will love it!
