Twin Falls
Park
and
Dam

"Idaho Power built the original plant in 1935 and updated it in 1995 with a diversion structure and two powerhouses with a total nameplate generating capacity of 52,737 kilowatts. It's located at river mile 617.4."

According to the Clicky Chicks:

We think this park is a wonderful, hidden treasure in Twin Falls. The park area is beautiful with fun places to climb, enjoy a relaxing meal and take in the outdoors. We looked for historical information on-line about this waterfall and the power company but found little than the above snippit. If one of you fine followers of our little blog has any facts you'd like to contribute, please do!

Hansen City Park

If you're looking for a fun park, Hansen City Park is a great place to visit. This park offers a great play set, swings, picnic tables, and grassy fields for a fun game of touch football, soccer, tag or even some kite flying.  Southern Idaho offers a wealth of fun parks. This is just one more we have enjoyed.

Southern Idaho Libraries

A visit to a local library is a great way to spend a quiet morning or afternoon. Many libraries in Southern Idaho offer children's reading programs, and activities. The Jerome Library offers story time on Fridays, and various activities each month. There is a room for children to read and play, set apart from the rest of the library. There are computers and sitting areas with tables as well. For more information on the Jerome Library check out their website http://www.ci.jerome.id.us/city-government/library.html

Clicky Chicks are Proud to Present

Savannah Fleming

Guest Clicky Chick!

Savannah is a 15 year old ninth grader at Canyon Ridge High School (GO HAWKS!) Her interest in photography began when she was given a digital camera when she was ten years old. She's been in love with it  ever since. She tells us that photography drives her to express herself in ways she usually can't do otherwise. Her favorite piece of photography equipment would be her macro setting on her camera and can't imagine shooting without it.  Savannah also loves to read and plays the piano and bass clarinet.

Clicky Chicks send a big shout out to her and all aspiring, young photographers. Keep Clicking and Happy Shooting!

Almo
and the
City Of Rocks

The Clicky Chicks stopped by on their way to the City of Rocks at "Rock City" owned and operated by mother/daughter team Suzanne Ogren and Bradi Bennet. Their well stocked store of sundries, snacks and treats were only the tip of the ice burg.  Suzanne also mentioned her husband owns an automotive repair shop just behind the Rock City. They suggested we come back after we hiked the rocks to enjoy some of their specialty pizza. They feed hungry travelers, repair limping vehicles with an extra helping of warm hospitality! They have it all!

Yes folks, for those of you who didn't know it, when you are on the DIRT road looking for the City of Rocks, it's the RIGHT road. Clicky Chicks are famous for their "turning around skills".

Castle rocks is located just 10 minutes or so from the City Of Rocks and is a favorite haunt for hikers and climbers.

It's the City of ROCKS!!!

Okay, all the Clicky Kids in the car were convinced this was an Easter Island Head!
